Every once in a while you find a wine that completely blows away your expectations — and MacMurray Ranch Pinot Noir 2005 ($13/bottle, $155/case) is one of those wines. Fairly easy to find and incredibly consistent, its flavors of cherry, cranberry, and clove go well with a variety of grilled meats and seafood, while a slightly sweet finish leaves you yearning for more. Enjoy this wine while the leaves change.
