The Return Of Mr. Big...

Mr. Big, Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte ARE BACK!!! The Sex and the City movie just started shooting, and everyone is buzzing about what Carrie will be wearing. I have been a big fan of the series but I am not so sure about the movie. Can't we just let a good thing be?

Although I may be undecided about the movie one thing is for sure nothing can stop me from loving Carrie's wardrobe. FabSugar has just posted pictures from a scene in the movie so we can get a sneak peak. Hooray!

This little green number is what I call a "Mona Lisa" yup you guessed it looks great from a far but get a clittle closer and WOW, BAM it's just not that great. The green on green floral print contrast is great and is totally expected of Carrie. As for the accessories I have to agree with FabSugar; the smattering of "edge" was a little too much for me. In my opinion, she should have picked one studded item instead of going with both the belt and the shoes. Oh, and that Eiffel Tower purse made me want to jump off the real thing. What a disaster. Anyway, this won't stop me I am looking forward to seeing more from the move - to be honest I can't wait!

Here Kitty Kitty Kitty

But not there...and not over here...The debate continues: Where should you put your kitty litter box. Does it belong in the kitchen, bathroom, laundry room or any room for that matter. Let's face it - it's ugly and just down right gross and I do not want my guests seeing it nor my cat using it in front of everyone. So give your cat the privacy she deserves while disguising her litterbox with this Kitty Washroom. Designed with wainscoting, this stylish piece of furniture features two shelves, and a stainless steel towel bar that is sure to be a welcome addition to your bath or laundry room. Hey it's a win win for all here - and it's stylish.

Get Your Tea Cakes From Luna

Love them or hate them, energy bars have improved considerably over the past ten years. No snack in a pack better illustrates that flavor progression than Luna's newest product, the Tea Cake. Tea cakes are somewhere between a protein bar and a cereal bar, only instead of retaining the worst of both (chalky taste, dry consistency) they tap into the best (easy to eat, energy-packed). They also taste delicious. The Vanilla Macadamia cake has a light swirly frosting that reminds me of pop tarts (that's a good thing in my book!). Apparently, the chewy bar also contains rooibus tea to help stabilize your mood. I'm not sure if I feel like my moods are more stable post-cake, but they definitely ward off low-blood sugar, which definitely takes a toll on my disposition.Like the other Luna products, the Tea Cake is marketed as food for women, but at least according to my male guinea pig, they taste good to dudes as well.

Kids Contemporary Lights

For the hipster parents among you, working hard to raise your self-aware yet self-assured, eco-conscious, TV-free vegetarian child in an environment filled with ironic onesies, good design and old Pixies albums, here's some lights you might like. Contemporary Heaven has tons of cute little critters to illuminate Apple, Oak, Shiloh or Ezra's room, including Ruby the Caterpillar Pendant Light (pictured at right), and, my personal favorite, the Sky Ceiling Light. They're not exactly inexpensive, and I have a feeling your kid won't care one way or the other, but at least it's not Dora the Explorer, or something fashioned after those hideous little Bratz dolls.

Give This Doorknob A HAND

While it may make your house feel slightly like the Adams Family mansion, this doorknob is certainly a unique way to great your guests. I think you'd probably get one of two respones: either "How cool!" or "That's the creepiest thing I've ever seen! (with that one you could use it for Halloween)"Personally, I think this is great, but I'd caution most people about attaching it to their front door. It'd work well in the modern home or condo -- but it'll stick out like a sore -uh- thumb in the more tradditional suburban abode -of course, that could be an added benefit. Especially for people who live alone, this gives you someone to come to...well kind-of.

Marvis - Not Just for Men

When it comes to trends in teeth, nothing is sexier and more stylish than a bright white smile. Whether you get that with the $1.29 tube of drugstore Colgate or $2,000 light whitening in the DDS's chair is up to you. However, there is some trendiness in toothpastes.

People can't seem to stop marvelling at Marvis, a line of somewhat luxurious (because a single tube can run you twelve bucks), and now Marvis is available in a paste specifically formulated to whiten teeth - Marvis Mint Whitening. Over at Details for Men (as far as we can tell, they're the first to have it available here) it's $12. Ladies there's no rules against sharing - so go ahead brush away.

WOW - Mui Mui Shoes With A Punch

I read magazines back to front; I don't know why I just do. Maybe its because I am weird or maybe because they always hide the good stuff in the back. Vogue certainly hid the best stuff in the back for their September issue ...Feast your eyes on these Mui Mui shoes. Oh my ... I have never seen anything like it. Prada took the most boring conservative shoes that she could find and added the world's most bubble gum infused heel she could find. The results are breathtaking. The mixture of classic and kicky is done in such a brilliant way (yes shoes can be brilliant) that any woman could wear them; from a pink loving gal like Paris Hilton to a down-to-earth woman like yourself. I would dress very conservatively with these punchy pumps by wearing a chocolate brown long sleeved wrap dress with minimal jewelry, perhaps a simple silver pendant. Then pow! Here come the shoes.Careful these shoes will have heads turning like crazy and you will get so many compliments yours will spin. Oh and it's sad but true, they will leave your wallet a bit dizzy too, these shoes cost $720, a small price to pay for being fabulous.

Smoky Eyes in 4 Steps

Here's a newsflash for you: the smoky eye is back! Actually, never went out. We've been ringing our eyes every fall since the kohl eyeliner pencil was invented, so it's about time we all learn how to do this technique (myself included).Over at DIY Life, Heather Craven put together a step-by-step manual for this sultry makeup look. Essentially, all you need is three shades of eyeshadow and a couple of good brushes. The actual application can be boiled down into four steps:

1. Start by applying the highlight color to your brow line and upper lid. This gives your eyes an added illusion of size.

2. Apply the middle color from your lashes to the highlighted area of your lid. Be sure to blend the mid color and the lightest color to avoid any harsh lines between the two.

3. Apply the darkest color along the lashes. Then use your finger to blend the dark color with the medium color.

4. Follow this up with a good, quality mascara and you will have a set of sexy eyes to show off to just about anybody. It might sound stupid, but I've long wondered about the blending part of makeup application.

Do you use a brush, a Q-tip or is it your finger? Now I know the answer -- so thanks Heather. My smoky eyes thank you in advance.

Green the NEW Pink for Victoria's Secret

Ah! Everywhere you turn someone is going "green." I am torn on my feelings about this. On one hand it's good because it helps to save the planet. On the other hand, we have to ask, "Are people really going 'green' or just being trendy?"

There is no real green-o-meter as far as I know, so how can we know what is "green" and what is jumping on a marketing bandwagon? All of my crazy theories aside, yes it's true, another company has gone green.

Fashion Week Daily reports that Green is the New Pink, Victoria's Secret is now "green" so our underwear can be eco-friendly too! Last December the lingerie giant agreed to adopt eco-friendly alternatives for its mass mailing business. Oh thank goodness, does that mean I won't get seven different catalogs a week?

Victoria's Secret's Pink line, which is aimed at a younger set of shoppers, will be launching mini collections of environmentally friendly garments. The eco-friendly Pink line will include fleece tees, tank tops, and accessories that are made of organic cottons. Victoria Secret believes that going "green" is just becoming a part of our daily lives and are very pleased with their environmentally conscious efforts. To tell you the truth, if I actually start getting fewer catalogs, I will be pleased too.

Great Grooming with Salon Prices

Let's face it waxing can be a drag. It's not the pain that gets me -- I actually enjoy that part -- it's everything leading up the waxing that is painful. Finding the time in the day to schedule an appointment, driving across town to go to the salon, and don't even get me started on the money. So it's always nice to have a cheaper at home alternative to getting lovely brows. As you know, an at home eyebrow grooming can be a dangerous thing without the proper tools. If you aren't careful you can walk away with uneven and over-plucked brows, and well you just might look like you drew some arches above your eyes - which I NEVER recommend. That is why eyebrow waxer to the stars, Anastasia, has created a line that helps you achieve professional results at home.I had been eying Anastasia's products for some time at my local Sephora. The thought of not having to be a slave to the salon was quite appealing. What wasn't appealing was the price tag on Anastasia's kit. So today when I opened my Sephora Insider's email I was delighted to see a brand new limited edition kit from Anastasia for only $45. The kit includes a pair of tweezers, miniature scissors, and four stencils all in an adorable case – perfection. Practice definitely makes perfect with any at home brow grooming, but I do believe that this will help cut down on my visits to the salon.

Off The Shoulder Fun

Labor Day has come and gone, so like it or not summer is (unofficially) over. If you are dying to show some skin, even as the temperatures begin to drop, the off-the-shoulder, which is making a big comeback, look may be your answer. The shoulder can be a very sexy body part to show off, especially in the Fall when showing off any other part would be obscene. Rachel Pally has a great long sleeve top that is perfect for showing off your buff shoulders. Wear this top with a pair of jeans for a simple and sexy look, or pair with a pencil skirt and a jacket for work. Once the clock strikes 5:00, you can toss off the jacket and head out for drinks. Have fun in this flirty top.
